Siva Karuturi
PROGRAM LEAD
Dr. Siva Karuturi is an Associate Professor in the School of Engineering at the ANU and leads the ACT-H₂ program. He received a PhD in Materials Engineering from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and a Masters in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology – Madras, India. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Photovoltaics & Renewable Energy Engineering at the University of New South Wales before moving to the ANU in 2014. He was a Discovery Early Career Researcher Award Fellow during 2015-2018.
Siva has over 15 years of experience in hydrogen research and has established research infrastructure, including materials synthesis, prototyping, and electrochemical performance testing. He has mentored >40 researchers, including research staff and higher degree research students. Siva has proven experience in developing competitive proposals, building and directing R&D teams and has played a key role in managing R&D projects with >$10M funding.
